The Beauty of it...

I was struck by the beauty of our city and the abundance of little things that can take an average day and make it something memorable. I was doing and open house this past Sunday at a  Fabulous English Cottage in the woods of Port Moody in Echo Ridge. It was a beautiful sunny day and as I was driving out to the home I was distracted by three Bald Eagles that were silently circling over head. They were so majestic and powerful soaring thought the sky. I continued up to the home, unlocked the door, turned on the lights, started the fireplace, put on a CD of some cool jazz. As I made my way through out the home making sure everything was perfect something in the back yard caught my eye. I stood at the sliding glass doors that open out to the yard and gazed at two deer that had walked down to sit in the last of the day's sun. They were two Does, just resting and enjoying the quite comfort of the neighborhood.

After the Open House was over, I turned off the lights, the fireplace, and I left a note for the owners thanking them for the wonderful time I had by simply being in their home.

As I drove down the hill and onto Heritage Mountain Boulevard I stopped at an intersection for a red light. The sun was low in the sky and the sky was a brilliant orange and as I glanced over to my right, there in the grass just off the road was a three point Buck calmly grazing in the thick green grass. I smiled to myself and thought,.... "Wouldn't it be great if it was like this all the time!"
