Pets on the move!

September 20th, 2007
Lets talk about our little pals for a moment.  This week I was excitied and blue all at the same time with the news that my oldest step-daughter is moving her family[my 2 most beautiful grandbabies!] from the West Cost to Winnipeg.  I could blog about the details of transfering from one province to the next, but I may shed a few tears..... so lets talk about something that always makes me smile.... our pets!

Green Roof

September 12th, 2007
I was reading an article in a local Real Estate magazine yesterday about the growing [no pun intended] popularity of a "Green Roof."  A green roof is a system that includes plants grown in soil over waterproof membranes and vapour barrier.

You can see these scattered throughout the city, The Vancouver Public Library, The Broadway Technology Center, The Vine on Broadway or Montiverdi in West Vancouver.  It has been stated that  green roofs enhance the quality of life in communities and make them more sustainable, says BCIT's School of Construction and the Enviroment, Center for Advanced of Green Roof technology.

Dundarave Fish Market

September 7th, 2007
If you are ever in the mood for some amazing seafood you must visit the Dundarave Fish Market.

In the summer this place is amazing for lunch out on the patio, with everything on the menu you will be sure find many items to tempt your taste buds!

They are right on Marine drive in West Vancouver, you can't miss them. For a weekday lunch or a weekend dinner they are sure to please. My favorite is to pop in for lunch and sit up at the bar where you can be entertained while being served by the nicest guy you will ever meet, Brook Parker, the Manager of the Dundarave Fish Market. They offer a tempting list of wines to match all of the
